![]() ![]() Many descendants of the warriors who participated in the Little Bighorn battle of 1876 did not want to tell their family oral history stories soon after the time of the battle, and one person at Pine Ridge reservation even said their grandfather who participated in the battle had told his family they could not tell anyone about it until 50 years passed after his death. A storybook about the history of the Sioux and Cheyenne Indians, based on research and family oral history stories, including genealogy information about the bloodlines of both the authors, while at the same time trying to stay within the boundaries of a story in a time-line sequence of events format.
