Looking into firmware solution when i ran into the discussion. Now i am on the hunt for a solution as the chips are scarce. But heck I got 3 refills out of them before they all crashed. ![]() I don't know why, maybe they are burning out do to the lack of resistance. ![]() So I got 3 more refills through it and then one after another at differing dates they started failing. Put them back in and it worked!!!! Very smart person figured out that trick, had to be a insider. I found a guy on U-tube who showed how to use a sharp object and scratch out the connections to a small black resistor at the top right front (Terminal side) of the chip. ![]() But I think somehow Epson forced that update through without my blessing because my cartridges where all unrecognizable at one time. I don't allow the software to perform updates on my Epson WF4740, The warning pop drives me crazy.
